Dr. Jeffrey Joseph, MD, is a board certified, ophthalmic plastic surgeon in Newport Beach, California. Dr. Joseph’s practice focuses exclusively on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and surrounding facial structures. During the past decade he has become a leader in the local aesthetic community, serving as a resource for contemporary periocular aesthetic procedures as well as complex patient presentations and complications. A native of Southern California, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego, majoring in Biology. Dr. Joseph then attended Boston University School of Medicine, where he excelled academically and clinically, and as a result, was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society- the most esteemed honor society in medical education. Dr. Joseph completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at New York University as well as the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He was selected to the position of Chief Resident prior to completing his training. Dr. Joseph then returned to Southern California to complete a two-year sub- specialized multidisciplinary fellowship program in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, Irvine and The Gavin Herbert Eye Center. During this intensive two-year program, he received extensive training in aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries involving all aspects of the eyes and face. Dr. Joseph continues to publish and lecture, sharing his expertise on various topics in the field of ophthalmic plastic surgery. Notably, Dr. Joseph currently maintains academic appointments as an assistant professor at both UC Irvine and The Gavin Herbert Eye Institute. |
