Bill Martin, CFA is Earned Wealth's Chief Wealth Officer, specializing in tax smart investing, private investments, and tax planning for doctors. He authored The Smart Financial Advisor and has been a guest contributor on The White Coat Investor, The Prudent Plastic Surgeon, Medical Economics, The Art of Medicine podcast, and WealthTech on Deck podcast. Bill has served on a number of industry advisory councils, including JP Morgan, Fidelity, American Bankers Association, and iCapital.

Since joining Thomas Doll in 2005, Dave Harlow, CPA has assisted clients with their accounting and wealth management needs. Dave holds a master’s degree in accountancy with an emphasis in tax from Brigham Young University and is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative. Right out of school, Dave began working for Deloitte & Touche, San Francisco, followed by some time in his dad’s CPA practice in his hometown of Hollister, California. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar, singing and playing golf. Dave is registered with Thomas Doll, an Earned Wealth Company.

John Manolos is a senior manager in KBKG’s Pasadena and Woodland Hills offices and a member of the Firm’s National Tax Practice. With over 15 years of tax experience, he specializes in fixed asset consulting including Cost Segregation studies, repair and maintenance expense analyses, and other tax advisory services specific to cost recovery in the real estate industry. John is a firm resource and provides engineering analyses for building owners and the firm’s clientele. John’s responsibilities include reviewing the construction documents and blueprints, inspecting the property, and estimating the quantities and costs of all qualifying assets. John has managed and performed hundreds of cost segregation studies, including large-scale commercial office complexes, residential rental properties, retail/restaurants, golf courses, hotels, airports, auto dealerships, warehouse/distribution, and manufacturing facilities.

Avoiding and Preventing Embezzlement in the Aesthetic Practice
It has been estimated that one in six doctors will experience embezzlement at some time during their practice years. A busy doctor is an easy target for embezzlement and in a down economy; a doctor may be even more at risk. The importance of educational, credit checks, and drug screening will also be covered as well as practice policies and procedures implementation. Savvy embezzlers can fool even the most experienced employers, so learn how to protect yourself.
