John R. Valencia, Esq. A partner in Sacramento’s second oldest law and lobbying firm, Wilke, Fleury. John has been lobbying for over 26 years on behalf of firm clients.  He appears daily before the California Legislature and state agency officials.  He is the firm's political law specialist and is a charter member of the California Political Attorneys Association.  He joined the firm following 10 years as a consultant in the California State Assembly, and in public affairs work for several state agencies.  Additionally, he served for 10 years as a Member of the City of Sacramento Planning Commission. He has chaired the Equal Business Opportunity Program Advisory Panel for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, was a charter member of the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Citizen Cabinet, and is a past Vice President of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. John holds his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pomona College and earned his law degree while working full time in the State Legislature.
