Dr. Kashaf Sherafgan, MD FACS is Board-Certified in Surgery and practices at Kashaf Cosmetic Surgery in San Diego, California. She specializes in Breast, Body contouring, Liposuction and Facial cosmetic surgery. She was born and raised in Pakistan. After graduating from the top medical school in the country, Allama Iqbal Medical College, she soon after moved to New York City where she did scientific and clinical research at Mount Sinai Hospital, ranked among the top 20 hospitals of the world. Following her internship in General Surgery at Mount Sinai, she completed the General Surgery residency at Tulane University Hospital. She trained among the nations’ top surgeons in trauma, breast, abdominal wall reconstruction and minimally invasive surgery and graduated with over 1100 cases. Dr. Sherafgan continued to perform over 500 cases every year for the next 10 years with focus on breast cancer, colorectal cancer, abdominal wall reconstructions and minimally invasive advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeries. Dr. Sherafgan is Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. She has taught and trained medical students and Surgical Residents at Mount Sinai Hospital NY, Tulane University and AT Still University and international students. The gratification of seeing her patients get cure and improve their confidence and life, made her advance her expertise to cosmetic surgery. Dr. Sherafgan was selected for the highly competitive and sought after cosmetic surgery fellowship under Dr Robert Shumway, the Past President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in San Diego. She worked with renowned plastic and cosmetic surgeons of La Jolla, Del Mar, Coronado Island, and Newport Beach where she acquired an extremely practiced hand before starting her own practice in San Diego. She has performed over 500 cases in a year of body contouring, liposuction, and abdominoplasty. Dr. Sherafgan’s training and experience has provided her with comprehensive expertise in a variety of cosmetic surgical procedures. Her expertise lies in facial surgery including face and neck lift surgeries, brow lift, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, buccal fat removal, lip and cheek implants, and injectables, along with breast lift & reduction, implants (including TUBA transumbilical breast augmentation), mommy makeovers, labiaplasty and body contouring procedures like liposuction, body lift, abdominoplasty, fat grafting, and Brazilian butt lift (BBL).
