Dr. Michael Morrissette is a Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon specializing in facial cosmetic surgery. He has been in practice for over 25 years and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In his office in Ventura California, Dr. Morrissette performs facial cosmetic surgery ranging from Botox injections to face and necklifts. He has lectured internationally on numerous topics and techniques of facial cosmetic surgery and has extensive knowledge and experience with cosmetic chin surgery. He is on the medical staff of several hospitals and performs facial orthognathic surgery for patients with congenital skeletal facial deformities. He is an experienced facial trauma surgeon who performs facial fracture repair at the Ventura County medical center, a level II trauma center. He takes facial trauma call 10 days a month. Dr. Morrissette is passionate about the care of children’s deformities, especially the care of children born with cleft lip and palate. He has been a member of the Ventura County Cleft Lip and Palate Team since 1998 and travels to South and central America each year to perform surgeries as well as teach other doctors and residents about cleft surgery. He has previously traveled to Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Argentina, and most recently Brazil.
Dr. Morrissette attended the University of Notre Dame where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology while playing division I ice hockey for the Fighting Irish. He earned is Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Morrissette completed his residency training in oral & maxillofacial surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1990. He became board certified in oral & maxillofacial surgery in 1992. |
