Dr. Binder is Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine and attending surgeon at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California with a full-time private practice in Facial Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery in Beverly Hills, CA. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, Rutgers and completed a residency in Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City followed by a postgraduate year of fellowship in advanced training for facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Binder is Board Certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery. He has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, for which he also serves as a Board Examiner and is currently Senior Advisor. Dr. Binder has authored over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles and edited 3 textbooks on facial plastic surgery and lectures both nationally and worldwide on procedures, techniques and innovation in plastic surgery. He is considered the foremost expert in the use of facial implants in cosmetic as well as reconstructive surgery and is among the world’s most experienced rhinoplasty surgeons, specializing in complex revision procedures. Dr. Binder continues to pioneer research in applying three-dimensional computer imaging and modeling to the field of plastic surgery. Currently, he is working on new technology to expand and revolutionize facial plastic and reconstructive surgery via computer imaging, simulation software and AI. As an inventor, Dr. Binder has over 34 U.S. and worldwide patents issued on medical and surgical devices and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Binder discovered and then published the first clinical research paper on the use of Botox for treatment of migraine headaches. Presently, Dr. Binder is engaged in a clinical research project for the treatment of headache disorders associated with posttraumatic headache, traumatic brain injury and PTSD in both the military and civilian populations. Dr. Binder enjoys skiing, biking, hiking and golf and is a member of the Los Angeles Country Club and Glenwild Country Club in Park City, Utah. |
